So I’m not sure if you like poetry or not. Because I have not asked. Therefore I am left to assumption. Which I understand can be dangerous, but nonetheless. Here is  one that I really like. I am going to use it to begin my dialog. I wanted to share this with you because this is what I think, in my soul, that it is going to be….

“A kiss of passion
In a moment’s lapse
Seems to linger longer
With a fervent fiery flame
Burning between our avid lips

Wrapped up in a romantic nuance;
A feeling never felt,
Never known, never shown
Never till now
Under the moon’s radiant glare

We feel the wind blow smoothly
As it caresses our cheeks ever so tenderly
And we embrace the dark night’s sky
As my head tilts closer to you
And our eyes meet in a timeless glance
Before they close and we drift
Into each other’s hearts.

One heart beat, not two
Our kiss is the rhythm of a euphoric melody

That of which can’t be sung
’cause the lyrics we cannot fathom

But I know the song very well
It’s the tune that will never cease playing
In my heart
When I’m with you.”

Wow!  That is so beautiful to me. Just as you are.

Our love has grown from a mere seed planted. With 1200 miles between us, we have cultivated it, nourished it and guarded it. It became a sapling quickly.  It became a small tree even quicker. The roots stretching into the earth. The foundation of our relationship. Pure in a sense. Because we have vowed to not tarnish it with pleasures of the flesh. As the tree grows it’s roots will be set deeper and firmer into the foundation, our love, will become more and more powerful, more and more stronger by the day.

One thing I am not is naive. Baby, I know that the wind is going to blow. At times it will blow harder than it did the last time it blew. There will be times when the leaves will be stripped from the branches. There will be times when the branches may even be broken. But as long as the roots are not damaged. The mighty oak will stand firm through whatever winds may blow. When the leaves are stripped and the branches are broken, for a while what was once beautiful will become tragically unsightly. Anyone can say that they are in love. But love itself in essence is the inconceivability of not being together. True love doesn’t die. It doesn’t give up and walk away. It is steadfast and unwavering. I want a love with you that will stand the test of time. I know that things at times may become unsightly and I know that our relationship will need time to heal at times. I know that it will take time to remove the broken branches. It takes time to prune the limbs and to shape the mighty oak back to beauty. Once this is done. We may have to wait until spring for the leaves to come again. But it can be beautiful once again.

The world can send a brutally cold winter at times. More relationships than not succumb to the bite of the frost.

JRR Tolkien once said ….

“Deep Roots are not touched by the frost.”

I believe that. I believe that we kill our own roots by allowing things into our relationships that have no business being there.

I promise to fight for you in those hard times. I promise to stand beside you when you need me to be there. I promise to hold you when you need to be held. I promise the same commitment to your children that I promise to you.

I believe that you truly are the love of a lifetime. I believe that you are going to share your light with me, make me complete. Make me the person that I have always wanted to be. I believe that you are all the things that I have sought my entire life.

Michelle….. I love you!!
